Nicole J. Jones, Public Member, brings multisector leadership and experiences, having had a diverse career encompassing various higher education, philanthropy, nonprofit, government and board/commission appointments.  She currently is Assistant Deputy State Controller at the State Controller’s Office. Additionally, she recently served as a community college trustee involved in restoring district accreditation, and selected president of the statewide African American California Community College Trustees charged with promoting policies addressing educational access and student success throughout the system.  She received her bachelor’s degree from University of California, Berkeley, master’s degree from City University of New York, Baruch College, and doctorate from University of La Verne.
