Dr. Cours joined California State University, Northridge, as a professor in the Department of Marketing after completing her PhD. at UCLA. She currently serves as Assistant Vice President of Academic Community Partnerships, having previously served as Director Graduate and Evening Programs in Business for 10 years, Director of the Los Angeles Regional Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Director of Community Engagement, and Interim Dean of the Nazarian College of Business and Economics. She is a past president of the Small Business Institute©, a national academic organization that celebrates experiential learning and partnerships between universities and small business.
As Assistant Vice President of Academic Community Partnerships she oversees Academic Support services to student athletes, supports faculty curriculum development and implementation, liaisons to departments and programs about undergraduate programs including off-campus academic experiences, and serves as the campus lead for CSUN Connections, a campus partnership among local community colleges and Unite LA for reverse transfer and transfer success. Dr. Cours serves as the campus representative to the USU 21st Century Workforce Group and on the executive board of APLU’s Commission on Economic and Community Engagement.
