I write with an important update on WSCUC’s presidential search. WSCUC’s Executive Committee is pleased to announce the members of the presidential search committee and the executive search firm appointed to guide the search for WSCUC’s next transformational leader.
Immediate past WSCUC Commission chair and head of the presidential search committee Phil Doolittle and I are honored to serve on the search committee alongside:
- Monroe Gorden, Jr. – Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs, UCLA
- Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval – President, CSU Fresno
- Nicole J. Jones (Public member) – Senior Special Assistant, State Controller’s Office
- Leo Martinez – Dean Emeritus and Albert Abramson Professor of Law Emeritus, UC Law San Francisco
- Susan Opp – Vice President, WSCUC
- Michael Toliver – Director of Finance & Operations, WSCUC
- Stephen Yandle (Public member) – Vice Dean Emeritus, Peking University School of Transnational Law
Following a rigorous evaluation process, executive search firm Academic Search was selected to spearhead WSCUC’s CEO search. Academic Search is a leading executive search firm specializing in higher education with a proven record of successful executive placements, including WSCUC’s current president Jamienne S. Studley. In collaboration with Commissioners and the search committee, Academic Search will develop a position profile, identify potential candidates for interviews with Commissioners, and recommend a finalist to carry forward WSCUC’s important work.
WSCUC’s next president will be selected by the end of this year.
