• Rising Leaders Gather for WSCUC’s 2024-25 ALA

    July 31, 2024 - WSCUC

Thirty-two higher education professionals representing the breadth of WSCUC institutions across the globe convened this month for the Accreditation Leadership Academy’s (ALA) 2024-25 kick-off meeting, setting in motion 10 months of dynamic learning and networking.

Members of ALA Cohort 14

Now in its 14th year, the ALA is WSCUC’s signature educational program designed to deepen participants’ higher education and accreditation knowledge and bolster leadership skills. ALA participants confront and examine critical issues in higher education, orienting responses to action through projects completed individually or in collaboration with ALA peers. Individual projects, guided by mentors tapped from WSCUC member institutions and national organizations, help participants tackle real-life challenges at their institution and may culminate in a research paper or presentation at WSCUC’s annual conference.

Participants selected for the 2024-25 Academy will join a network of more than 350 ALA alumni in leadership roles at institutions worldwide. This year’s cohort includes participants hailing from 26 institutions across four countries.

The 2024-25 ALA program will run through April 2025. Applications for next year’s cohort will open in spring 2025.
